Medical Disclaimer
What this site is, what it is not, and when to close the tab and call someone qualified.
Few Bites provides general nutrition information for educational purposes only. It is not medical advice and does not replace guidance from your doctor or a registered dietitian. Always consult your healthcare provider about your medication and nutrition.
Educational content only
Everything on Few Bites — the articles, the meal plans, the grocery lists, the protein figures, the bite counts, the emails — is general information published for education. It is written for a wide audience of people eating on a GLP-1 medication. It is not written for you specifically, because we do not know anything about you.
We are not doctors, nurses, pharmacists, or registered dietitians, and we do not present ourselves as any of those things.
Not a substitute for medical care
Nothing here replaces a consultation with a qualified healthcare professional who has your history in front of them. If our content and your clinician's advice disagree, follow your clinician.
Do not delay seeking medical advice, and do not disregard advice you have already been given, because of something you read on this site.
Talk to your prescriber about your medication
GLP-1 medications — including semaglutide and tirzepatide, sold under names such as Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro and Zepbound — are prescription medicines with real effects and real side effects. Dose, timing, and how they interact with what you eat are clinical matters.
Few Bites does not advise on dosing, injection schedules, starting, stopping, pausing, or switching medication, and never will. Those conversations belong with the person who prescribed it.
Existing conditions, allergies, and other medicines
Our suggestions assume a reader with no specific dietary restrictions. That assumption is often wrong. Speak to a healthcare professional before acting on anything here if you:
- have diabetes, kidney disease, liver disease, or a history of pancreatitis or gallbladder problems;
- have a history of disordered eating;
- are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding;
- have food allergies or intolerances;
- take other medication that interacts with food or with protein intake;
- have been given a specific eating plan by a dietitian or a clinical team.
Individual results vary
People respond differently to the same medication and the same food. Appetite, tolerance, energy, and nutritional needs differ by body, by dose, by week, and by day. Anything described here as typical will not be typical for everyone, and Few Bites makes no promise about any outcome you will experience.
We do not make weight-loss claims and we do not publish before-and-after imagery.
When to stop reading and make a call
Some things are not appetite problems. Contact your prescriber promptly if you cannot keep fluids down, if you are being sick repeatedly, or if you notice signs of dehydration.
Seek urgent care for severe or persistent abdominal pain, especially pain that reaches through to your back, and for any symptom that frightens you. In an emergency call your local emergency number — in the United States, 911.
This site cannot assess symptoms and will never try to.
No practitioner–patient relationship
Reading Few Bites, joining the email list, replying to an email, or buying one of our guides does not create a practitioner–patient or dietitian–client relationship between you and Digital Tycoon or anyone writing for it. We cannot give personal advice, and if you write to us with a clinical question we will tell you to ask your clinician.
Accuracy of nutrition figures
Protein, calorie, and portion figures are compiled from published nutrition data and from product labels. They are approximations. Values differ between brands, batches, countries, and preparation methods. Check the label on the actual food in your hand, particularly if you are managing a condition where precision matters.
